This is a good idea in theory but would be a disaster in practice. Just because the refs lose access to super slo-mo replay and 20 different camera angles doesn’t mean the TV networks will refrain from using the technology during the broadcast, which will only further fuel any controversy over a blown call.

That saving face is part of it, but I think its more connected to the Kim regime’s desire to control its citizens by cutting off their access to the outside world.

Mariota isn’t blameless, but I have a hard time viewing him as the main culprit for this failure because I think it would be tough for any prospect develop into a top caliber QB when:

That’s the thing though. He’s not resigning precisely because there really is no adversity in it for Trump to fight this and its become quite clear that he’ll never lose his support amongst the dug-in GOP members. He has enthusiastic GOP psychophants who will willingly and knowingly defend him and other GOP enablers

Indeed.

Yep. And he’s not the only one.

Today is an example of the unintended consequences of that further pampering while in office, i.e., Fox going full “State-Run Media” and the GOP commandeering the alt-right media universe to provide a reliably safe and dependable outlet to carry the water for the Trumpers.

Imagine being one of the mobsters that Giulani put in jail back in the 80's and seeing this bullshit now. I guess Harvey Dent was right: “You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villan ...”

Better late then never. Although I’m a little concerned — its obvious that Trump is going back the same distraction tactics that he used to squelch the Muller Report and the mainstream media is already showing signs that they’re going to play along with the ruse once again.

I read this before the game and was blown away. Management put together a very good defense and when that defense got them to the AFC Championship Game, and in the off-season, their response was to ignore the defensive players and hand a big contract to .... Blake Bortles? What the fuck?

I also think we’re talking about different things.

Not only has the NFL expanded replay, it has also expanded the rule book to the point where no one knows the rules anymore. Rivera’s failed challenge on the non-call Pass Interference is a perfect illustration of the fucking absurdity of the NFL rule book and instant replay.

I think that’s a point a lot of people are missing here and this interview kind of confirms it.

I wouldn’t take anything this dumbass says at face value. I’m sure these so-called women who approach her to remind her that’s she’s a lying sack of shit are similar to thosecountless* FBI agents” who all texted her that they were glad her shit-for-brains boss fired Comey.

That Treadwell story is just fucking bonkers. He obviously had a decent work ethic and it seems that he wanted to get better and improve. Yet, not a single person in the entire organization took him aside to tell him that he needed to work on his routes? Holy shit.

Now playing

Also underestimating the speed those guys have and seriously overestimating the speed of the average non-professional athlete sports fan.

To expand on that, I’d love to see an organized players strike at both the NFL and NCAA level. It’ll never happen, of course, but imagine the number of moronic asshole fans whose heads would explode without their precious football.

My theory is that casual viewers just don’t know how to watch baseball properly.

Exactly.

And its not like retiring will magically make the pain from the injuries he’s already incurred magically disappear. Luck is still a 29-year-old who faces the prospect of a lifetime of pain from all of his football injuries.
