Oookay?
Someday I'm going to count how many times people said something along those lines in this thread. It's a lot. And frankly they can sell a revamped version even if there had been backwards compatibility - Look at Wind Waker HD.
Technically it doesn't say they appear as playable characters. Just that they appear. Also if Chrom is an alt skin it could still be accurate even if one does take it to mean playable.
Elf magic.
There's a pic of a trophy of Rayman up now. Who knows if that means character or assist trophy tho? We'll find out eventually!
Really? Neat.
There's also that one with tentacles...
At least 4 other people asked almost exactly the same thing. And the answer is because there's a drought of games at the start of the life-cycle and backwards compatibility helps alleviate that.
Mine doesn't like DOS games (and SimAnt is one of my favorites). Not unless I get an emulator. But still, a lot of stuff going further back than any console. :P
I'm not entirely sure I believe that. Nintendo's been doing it for ages on handhelds, and previous consoles did it just fine. I'm not talking full backwards compatibility with all previous generations or even all of last gen. Even a little support is good.
By game-breaker I assume you mean something that'll stop me from buying it and not something that literally breaks your games? I'm not saying it's a major factor for me, but it does enter into my decision.
Well if I can trade in my old system I have to put down less money for the new one, mostly. And a new console is a sizable investment for most people. Also it's just more convenient.
Yep. And the weirdest part is I prefer Sony and they prefer Microsoft.
Wild theory! Maybe there's no male characters because you have to rescue them and Link is still around because... uh... he's a actually a girl in this! I dunno....
Apparently some of my friends are experiencing the opposite. Targeted marketing too targeted?
As a side option it would be better. If I still have the game, I'm not paying for it again.
Backwards compatibility is actually a factor me. I was mildly surprised neither MS nor Sony implemented it, considering how huge those libraries are.
You've used that same link for several other things. I'm guessing you're lying about where it leads.
