BULL. The murder rate has plummeted in nearly every city in America over the past two decades, yet cops are growing more militant, more threatening, and more abusive.

If only 10% were abusive cops (and I think that’s VERY conservative), but 60% look the other way or cover for them out of “brotherhood” (also conservative, IMHO), then that means a whopping 70%+ of cops are involved in the widespread, systematic abuse of citizens.

In the middle-east, where my brother runs a large multi-national construction supplier, they have to form joint ventures with a local (typically royally connected) partner, by law. Though the Americans are deathly afraid of our Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA - severe anti bribery law), the mandated local partner

Good cops get shit on because they tolerate and protect bad cops. That is the way of the “brotherhood” and the root of their shit. Nobody knows this better than “the good cops.”

That is so phenomenally naive I don’t know where to start. Abuse takes many forms and in most cities today, police now abuse everyone — victims, criminals and innocents alike. If it were just “criminals” this wouldn’t be an issue. The reality is that if you haven’t seen a police officer lie, threaten, steal, beat,

And they shouldn’t be cops if they can’t handle that (and most can’t).

I’ll second that. The “maintenance” info is vitally important for us fellas to know, given the profound impact all of this has on our relationships.

Cops don’t get shit on for being cops, they get shit on for threatening false arrest, beating up citizens, killing unarmed people and generally being the rudest people you’ll meet in your life.

Can we please just start calling police behavior what it is?: A national crisis.

NO.

Have you met Doug DeMuro?

Wrong. Sprawl and urbanization means most of us do now, in America and worldwide.

Yeah, large cities with shifting cultural scenes tend to get difficult, particularly as plans change while in transit.

That’s a dirty shade of some completely acceptable color in the 50’s-60’s from which this time-warp comes. Many aircraft then sported a rusty metallic hue like this. These were just leftover playthings for people with a little spare money and this one has obviously not seen play-time since the ‘70’s.

Yeah, there was a “resto-mod” Mustang called Galloping Ghost for which that plan didn’t end real well...

Just go ahead and admit there is not method or thinking behind the madness of your lists. It’s okay, we understand (believe me, we can see it plain as day).

I saw a disc cover on a military bike yesterday evening so my theory might be bunk. There was a diesel/jet fuel converted military DR on bike-urious.com recently.

Yes, but they ran, which among actual car enthusiasts warrants immediate evisceration of one’s balls and “Hit&Run” carved into their foreheads.

Have you never heard of Bahrain?

Suspension travel is your friend. It allows progressive slide rather than snap oversteer, provides a daily-driveable ride, makes performance accessible to mortal drivers, etc. It makes the market for them big enough to sustain a cheap sports car.
