I’ve read Brewers fans saying they wouldn’t give up the 30th ranked prospect for a half season of Machado filling a black hole for them. Ridiculous.
I don’t think the Brewers have enough to get DeGrom unless his value goes down significantly. They don’t have the top end talent in their farm system that would be needed.
Chicago is full of more morons, only because their fan bases are larger. I would guess proportions are the same across all fanbases though.
The reason he isn’t in the Majors regularly is because he strikes out over 30% of the time and walks less than 9% of the time. His OBP was less than .300 last year. He would be a starter on very few MLB teams.

I think we are at the beginning of the Stanton tear we all knew was coming.
Disagree to agree.
Where did you read this opinion and try to make it your own?
What? Season 2 is easily better than season 1.
Also the baseball landscape was different back then. This was presteroid and homerun era and pre Sabermetrics era. It was that perfect time when we were able to let our ignorance be bliss about a sport and get excited about massive homerun totals. I remember Junior being a guy who could break the Maris record every…
thanks for “well actually”ing my joke.
Yeah and Griffey also did a great job of marketing himself in a time when more people paid attention to baseball. Shoes, video games, baseball cards (upper deck rookie card FTW) were all essential in him getting noticed. They were able to create the myth of Ken Griffey Jr, and no one is even trying that with Trout.…
