They clearly stated what they wanted the reviews for. They wanted people to play the game and see what they can fix and patch. Pretty much rewarding people for QA, if they so desired.

Sure asking for reviews is a shady practice but I dislike how the community reacts to these things a lot more. This whole down vote for justice thing is quite dumb, let reviews reflect the games quality not how much you dislike the developers.
