Why would you tip anyone at a buffet. You aren’t being served anything.

I also love hearing from all the lying liars in the comments who claim to “always” tip at least 30%. Fuck you and then send me some money.
“If your service is terrible, feel free to tip a little less, like only 35%.”
As a former food service, I say, it depends... If they communicate with you, “I’m so sorry about xyz condition, I’ll check on...” then heck yes, cut them some slack. If not, then no. Zero slack.
I’m only continuing to read these to see if there is any scenario where the answer isn’t “I’d tip a little extra”
You mean when families come out to eat for a special occasion and celebrate with large parties and extravagant menu choices and tip generously because they get great service? Sure do!
Well you know except for the actually having legroom, wide comfortable seats, lack of carryon bags jammed into the overhead because no one wants to wait 5 minutes to collect their bags and the fact these people still have their human dignity & aren’t in tracksuits with their bare feet on my seat. Then yes it’s just…
I don’t know. That boils down to “Hey, gay guy. You should be a champion for all lbgtq folks and you are just doing your own thing. Being a positive influence isn’t enough.”
Wait so people aren’t allowed to have different opinions? Something you think is fantastic I would probably think is boring.
Granted, the rest of his Twitbox ramblings are the stuff of eyerollings, but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve also had complete brainfarts when it comes to drawing a blank running into people I’ve known - and even worked with - over the past 30 years of adult life. A woman breathlessly ran up to me as I was heading to my…
Wow, I hadn’t heard about the Amy Winehouse decoration. That’s really tacky.
Is it really that much of a “nightmare” to tell people they can’t stay for free at your hotel? Just come up with a form email to copy and paste, ffs. Something like “If you would like to make a reservation, here is the link to our website.” What the hell is there to lose by doing that?’
What were they thinking? That the big companies in Seattle wouldn’t fight a head tax levied specifically on them?
I’m thinking this deserves a cross post on The Root. Smells like some racism to me.
This isn’t about Christians. This is about whether this place singled him out for a necklace when there were a bunch of other people wearing other necklaces. He could have been wearing, literally, anything else besides a cross, and if they booted him for his necklace, then he has a case.
My trick is that I didn’t watch the video :) I find pretty much all videos annoying and comprehend better by reading info than listening so I hate video monologues or whatever you’d call this genre of YouTube. I also hate this dumb lodge for regularly having “hot takes” and getting positive attention for douchey…
Idk, I guess I don’t find it that difficult to say “no thanks please don’t contact us again” that difficult, no matter how often it happens. I get approached for media, ad and event sales all the time (don’t own the business though) and even with the pushier ones I stay polite - but I do have to represent my employer…
Yeah I mean I don’t answer unknown numbers 99% of the time but on the off chance I do and it’s a telemarketer I say “no thanks” and hang up. I do the same when I get a sales pitch at work that I’m not interested in!
She went to them with a business proposition, which they weren’t interested in. Rather than decline it by responding to her email, they embarrassed her on Facebook. I could say they should have taken the high road, but there is no high road in this situation. There’s acting like a normal person and there’s acting like…
