Jóhannsson maybe, but he was exposed as “not ready for prime time” after Altidore went down in ‘14 and has barely been healthy since... and I’d again point out that there’s probably not a configuration in which Dempsey, Altidore, Wood and Jóhannsson are all on the field together.

(both, but that was in response to the Cleveland note)

This is peak kinja.

beyond Jones, Wood and Bedoya, which 1-2 others?

Why would you do that to your poor child!

Saw a shitload of Lebron jerseys at the Colombia-Chile match last night, but strangely they were almost all #10 shirts. Is that what he wears for the national team?

Whoever wrote that headline is full of shit.

A partial answer to your question is that it’s a lot easier for one or two players to take a basketball team far. One guy has a much greater impact on the game. Lebron could play 20% of the available playing time for his team; Messi cannot take more than 10% (excluding goalkeepers). That requires a much greater level

I’m likewise not going to claim the sky is falling; decent but flawed teams (like the U.S.) often lose to outstanding teams (like Argentina). Sometimes they make it interesting, but other times it is decisive.

That was unsaveable. It was perfect, the peak of ability.

Yet you clicked on it. Hmmm...

To your point, those specific seats very likely were never available inventory, however had sales surpassed 50k (or whatever the threshold was) early enough, they very likely would’ve made those sections available, one or two at a time.

I don’t think that’s true. They just don’t sell those sections until others at that price point have sold... saves a bit of money on security and concessions to not have people in the sections. If you’re going to have 48k, have 48k configured in a manner that’s cheaper to service.

Thanks for tuning in, Mr. Trump!

The physiology of kicking the ball out when his hips are on the goal line and body extended into the goal at that angle negates that argument.

Please refresh our memory as to what the fuck you're talking about.

Kind of creates a distraction for his own pitcher. Dick.

Who the fuck gets out of their car at a gas station in New Jersey?!?

To me, the age is the biggest question mark with them. They have a lot of talent, but when you look at a team like Tampa and see how young they are and that they made it back to the Conference Finals - and pushed the eventual champs to game 7, playing without their captain throughout the playoffs and missing their top
