I’m fairly confident it’s Webb. Though he’s from the Caymans, he’s married to an American and owns at least three properties in Georgia (according to this article). I assume that makes it a lot tougher to oppose extradition.

I’m skeptical of the argument that there’s less competition from other sports for female athletes vs. males. For team sports, there’s still competition from basketball, softball, volleyball, field hockey, ice hockey, lacrosse, etc. and for individual sports, there’s still tennis, ice skating, gymnastics, swimming,…
I thought FIFA had a sponsorship with an airline and that was related to the women wearing stewardess uniforms while the execs handed out medals, but apparently Emirates did not renew when their contract ended in late 2014.

On the men’s side, while the U.S. did basically nothing to build a program up until roughly 1984^, the rest of the world were building programs, refining their player development infrastructure and strategies - building several generations of culture around the sport.
I’m not going to take anything away from what the USMNT has accomplished in the last decade-plus... however, they still have a very poor World Cup record against European opponents (1 W - 11 L - 5 D since 1990) and when the tournament is played on European soil (1990, 1998, 2006 - 0 W - 8 L - 1 D).
