Justin Smith is a man!
Justin Smith is a man!
I think you have an answer right here: http://screengrabber.deadspin.com/the-jacksonvil…
Is that the same Stephen Bowen that is on the Physically Unable to Perform list?
There's a different standard between "bottom-of-the-roster" guys and Pro Bowlers - partly based on risk and partly based on salary cap impact. If the Vikings were certain that Peterson would not be picked up by anyone else and have success at their expense, they'd be much more comfortable cutting him... He's not…
You really believe that Rice lied about it and that the suspension is for lying - not for the NFL's PR purposes (to seem like they're taking the matter seriously)?
Rice should win his appeal, but it doesn't matter. He's done. Nobody's going to pick him up. If he was coming off a good season, maybe, but he's not good enough to put up with the backlash and "distractions".
He's very good at what he's very good at - getting excited over dramatic moments in basketball and football. Unfortunately when he's trying to call other sports that he doesn't understand as reflexively, the excitement feels more manufactured and fake - and sometimes it's exposed as being at an inappropriate moment…
Really?!?
I'm tempering my expectations with:
Obviously, you're not familiar with the track record of GM Jerry Jones. The only thing stopping this won't be Murray - it'll be Jerry's lack of salary cap space.
Feel free to flame me for hoping he wins the appeal:
A few things: as a parent who lost a two-year-old child less than a year ago due to abuse (not at his hands), one would think Peterson might appreciate that a toddler may not be quite grown up enough, physically, for corporal punishment.
That is my understanding as well.
If the Clippers are "worth" 2 billion, shouldn't every NFL team at a minimum be in that ballpark? Even the Bills, with a no relocation clause.
That I could get behind.
I think it was something like most of his partners in the bid team have serious ties to Toronto and Canadian media conglomerates.
Hillary nods knowingly - she can relate to that kinda poor.
This article does a good job of outlining the facts and details of Josh Gordon's case.
Both groups have had to deal with countless instances of being "othered" and treated as something less than full members of society in subtle and blatant ways. It's not a contest.
If he's found a serious girlfriend in Germany, maybe he's content to stay there. Or he's disillusioned by the business behind the sport.
