Did the jazz mashup on Jazz+Jazz=Jazz sound uncannily like the opening theme to Homeland? For a second, I thought they were just playing that song.

I did the av club crossword religiously every week as part of the Crosswords app. Will it still be available there? Or should I ask this via the Kickstarter page? Either way, you've probably got some of my money coming your way.

Here's my wacky theory: that Sherlock not only set up the fake dad meet at the restaurant, but also staged things so Watson would track the guy down at the bookstore. As Rees pointed out, you can't consider Sherlock as you would a normal friend. Sherlock is therefore playing a game of sorts to see whether Watson is

Doesn't this make it read as though Plummer is the animal-rights anarchist? Does there need to be a comma after

Yes - they did play it well, which totally helped sell it/make one ignore any jaded "bah, I see it coming"s.

I'm perennially on the fence about the show, but [ATTEMPTING TO AVOID SPOILERS] for me the last twist became apparent once that dark haired person started conspicuously sticking up for Annie, so about 10 mins in. I don't know what it was - maybe it was just the actor telegraphing it a little because they knew where
