It seems there could be a subcategory that focuses solely on the "Bukowski as acme of art-making" that includes the stuff from Californication (from what you're telling me), everything that Eric Schaeffer guy ever wrote in his movies, the stuff from Henry Fool (although I liked that movie) and so on and so on.
