- Exhuming McCarthy
- Man on the Moon
- Pilgrimage (or, if you think about it, Moral Kiosk, or Half a World Away - a lot seem to apply here)
- Orange Crush
- Drive
- ITEOTWAWKI (AIFF)

Or Automan.

I, too, am less than sanguine about Slings & Arrows winning, but really, the episodes are so rich and layered (seasons mimicking the play that's being performed, etc) , and the acting so, so solid, it would be great to see it dissected. Actually, Donna Bowman would do a great job… maybe if it loses, she could pick it

I'd add on to the pile, but I already brought up a similar, um, I'll be generous and call it a "misunderstanding" about large plot points being missed a week or two ago w/r/t Augie, and any more would make me feel like I was ungrateful. Maybe the screeners they're getting only have the first 85% of the episode?

Apparently - I had never heard of it, and I'm a freakish completist.

This was my understanding, what with Augie saying things along the lines of "I don't want her to go there" and "If she goes somewhere else, she's still doing a valuable service, right, just not there."

Is "both" an option?

Anyone think Dennis's description of how southerners (Southerners?) just wait for home invasions so they can blow off the intruders' faces with shotguns was a [spoiler alert] nod to Howerton's fate in The Strangers? No? Just me. I'll leave now.

On the TV Club All Shows queue, it seems to be slotted in under Covert Affairs, which is a Tuesday show.

I recently watched the CASTLE pilot, and it looked like they shot at least part of it on location here in NYC - you could really tell the difference. (Or it was all in LA and I have just torpedoed my point.)

It was his 30th birthday party, which was being used as a memorial.

Now that would be interesting. Since Auggie does seem to be the main emotional whipping boy on the show, I think you may be on to something.

While the show is mostly background while browsing the internet, I can't help but be impressed by the travel budgets they seem to have for a USA show, which usually rely on duct tape and a green screen for half the stuff that takes place outdoors.

It was great - like a weird Vaudeville homage.

Carlos Jacott… A shout-out to Skippy from Kicking and Screaming and all-around fantastic character actor?

Yes! Totally - the extra lines, blocking, etc. It was like the inverse of a redshirt or something.

Am I the only one who heard "slouchy foreskin"? Anyone? Anyone? Ahem. Nevermind.

Thank you for showing me I'm not the only one with that stuck in his head.

I have this waiting on the TiVO, but I have a feeling I'll forgive it any faults just because its characters have last names like Chandler and Buchan (who wrote 39 Steps, an adaptation of which Penry-Jones starred in, coincidentally).
