Because it’s a very uneducated take.
Because it’s a very uneducated take.
Yeah, because no one is ever rich *and* vulnerable, or a famous actress *with* low self esteem, right?
Said 50 year old woman also grew up with alcoholic parents and a mother who sold her to men for sex, so yeah, not exactly a woman with a healthy sense of self.
I have had enough money to get the psychological care I needed. It still took a fuckload of excruciating work on my part. Trauma compounds trauma, so a person who, for instance, had a mother routinely overdose in front of her and had to give her CPR as a child, then was raped as an adolescent, and doesn’t get…
Hmmm? I have the same age difference between hubby and me as Demi and Ashton, and no requests for a threesome in our 13 years of marriage. Maybe the problem is Ashton not the age difference.
Her book details a lifetime of trauma and abuse. Regardless of age, a person can be vulnerable to manipulation, especially given the right set of circumstances. And Ashton’s persona is certainly that of a dolt, but his success in business and entertainment suggests he’s rather more savvy than that.
Likeliest that Boris will be forced to ask for extension, then lose his premiership. Fuck knows after that. I imagine he'll be no-confidenced at some point not TOO far away, but I can't imagine the Tory rank and file will have learned from this. It does seem as if we are finally moderating the headlong fall toward no…
Can you imagine living in a country where the shitshow of a government is actually held accountable? Where those responsible for the systematic checks and balances actually act, instead of being either in the government’s pocket OR too afraid of being uncivil? Good on you, UK.
Brexit has always been about the rich wanting to make money and keep more of it.
Labour doesn’t want there to be one because that would trigger an election without time to negotiate a deal and they don’t want people to, you know, die from lack of clean water and medications and the reignition of the Troubles. The Lib Dems don’t want there to be one because it’d likely result in Corbyn being prime…
A bare majority of a low-turnout non-binding referendum, which has since shown itself to have been thoroughly tainted by both the blatant dishonesty of it’s architects and a foreign power, does not a majority make.
Given that they barely won the referendum while promising that they could have all the benefits of being in the EU without any of the responsibilities, and things have gone poorly since, I think it’s extremely unlikely that 50% of the population would support Brexit, deal be damned.
(a) they are unlikely to at this point
The referendum was not binding and parliament represents the people.
Source?
Boris will continue to bend norms, ignore laws, etc. to bomb out of the EU. He wants disaster economics so he can use the economic emergency to sell assets, privatize, cut taxes, reduce benefits, etc. under the guise of an economic emergency. Any reasonable deal will prevent that from fully occurring and won’t be…
I wish our government officials had the courage to dunk on Trump again and again like the British state does to this overgrown boarding school prefect with a piss-stained mop head for hair.
SoCo tells BoJo his plan is a NoGo.
It must be nice to live in a country with an independent Supreme Court that doesn’t just act as a rubber stamp for the executive.
OK what the fuck.... it’s 11pm in CO. I’m about to go to sleep here. This kind of thing can NOT be posted at this hour
