I mean, sure, rule of law and everything, but I think we’d all be pretty much okay with it if Brad Pitt did kill Harvey Weinstein.

(Sorry, this wasn’t supposed to be a reply for this BS comment, but )ALSO:
That girl doesn’t look any different from the other kids, they all look like real life kids, I’m actually impressed with H&M rn (prob won’t happen again). I have my hair in a messy bun right now, I also have cowlicks which I can’t tame for shit and all these kids look better than I do rn.
But there’s nothing even wrong with her hair, she’s just wearing it up, wtf is this commenter talking about? All these kids look like.... kids. I think this may be one of the most honest (looking) campaigns they’ve had.
Yeah my first thought on seeing the picture is “oh, it looks like a kid being a kid”. I have pretty much no place talking about black hair in any definitive way, so I’ll let Ashley do it way better than I, but I like the idea of kids looking like kids and including all the children in the same look.
Is it truly? Because if you asked me to name a Kirsten Dunst movie, it wouldn’t even be in my top five.
As a white Aussie person I had to read the article to even understand what people thought was wrong with it, she looks like a completely normal kid to me. It’s really sad that white supremacy has given people a complex about the natural behaviour of their hair.
I recently saw a buzzfeed or Twitter slide show of before and after school shots and the kids (of all races) looked like they had gone through a tornado by 3pm. Pristine braids gone, outfits stained and ripped, lopsided hairdos, etc. Kids are magnets for mess.
Yeah, no, I cannot compute feeling “ire” at ever seeing a little girl who looks like this or having the nerve to compare this hairstyle—which looks like the girl just got out of soccer practice for fuck’s sake—to minstrel imagery.
Nobody is claiming that Mary Jane wasn’t a significant or recognizable role for her, they’re annoyed that she was rendered nameless as “Spider-Man’s girlfriend.” If the tweet had said, “...best known for playing Mary Jane Watson in the Spider-Man films,” this wouldn’t be a story.
It’s not manufactured outrage if her fans were genuinely pissed off. That’s the exact opposite of manufactured. Dunst has been a professional actress for 31 years and her career deserved more respect than being reduced to that time she played notable douchebag Tobey Macguire’s significant other.
Then using the name she had in that role might have been a good idea.
This is how a Black girl with 4C natural hair looks after a day of playing around outside and being carefree. All the kids look cute and the “after school” photoshoot theme is unique and adorable. You can lay your kid’s edges to the gawds at 8am and they’ll look like they went through a wind tunnel by 3pm, and that’s…
They all look so cute because they look LIKE KIDS. No child is going to sit still enough to have perfectly kempt hair everyday. I wish more people would just log off.
People have way to much time on their hands to be outraged at this. People need to step away from the computer and go outside.
It’s not fair that some little girls can wake up in the morning & throw their hair in a ponytail or throw on a headband & out they go. But god forbid you’re a little black girl & do that. Leave little kids alone to not be stressed out about their dang hair! It’s hair damn it!!!!!
I feel so bad for this girl being scrutinized in public like this. What are people thinking?
Her hair doesn’t even look that messy especially compared to the other girls.
Yuuuup!
This isn’t a new thing. I remember all the shit that Gabby Douglas got at the Olympics, mostly from older black women, for not having perfectly styled hair. Girl is doing a back flip on a piece of wood 4 inches wide and landing on one foot, who gives a fuck what her hair looks like?
