I’m going to float an unpopular opinion and say that if you are going to entertain one of these, an earlier, non sport line example with the 2 valve M103 motor would be the smart pick. Having driven both, I find the power delivery and noise of the M103 to be far superior. Where the 24V motor is coarse and peaky, the

The older folks that tend to own a car like this also tend to be light on details when writing ads (but who knows, maybe they aren’t old and just suck at it). But I want a fat stack of service records going with this car at that price.

Until you have to look at it. Or sit inside of it after sitting inside of any of the others. Maybe 5 years ago this was the answer, but now it’s just ugly with a spartan interior... plus not everyone wants to advertise they gave Elon money.

i think people at the time didn’t like unpainted fenders, whereas nowadays they are popping up on a bunch of shit.

“You make one silver coin, I make ten silver coins. It is fair!”

$30 million? Wow. I will gladly be the CEO of any company for just $3 million and then I’ll use AI to help make the big shareholder decisions. Who’s hiring me?

Wealthy people don’t want big incomes because then they might actually have to pay taxes and contribute to the country’s infrastructure that makes their business possible, like all their workers have to. They can still obtain extremely low interest loans using those stocks as capital and then spend that cash as though

$30,000,000 a year = ~$577,000 a week. 1 month of that pay and I could retire immediately with no worries. Hell, 1 week and I could live debt free with enough left over to work part time until retirement.

I was a target demographic as well. Mid 20's in mountain area. On a couple occasions fellow skiers slowed down to watch me gear up in the parking lot with the fold up table etc. IT was fantastic, but slow, and I am POSITIVE the designers NEVER drove it as the seat hurt everyone’s back after 45m, and even my fellow

Makes sense. The illuminated Mercedes logo is already the pre-requisite option for the leased CLA crowd here in LA. After all, how else will you let everyone know your entry-level “luxury” car is a Mercedes?

nah these are the “gas guzzlers” of EVs. I’m hoping one day soon Toyota comes out of nowhere with the all electric prius (Prius E^10 ? ) that is 100 percent built for efficiency. Imagine one day tesla is all smug about 400 miles of range and the next You have a cheaper ev that gets 800 miles of range.

Why do EV makers insist on thinking up new frivolous ways to waste electricity on their cars? Lights like this, giant screens, computer controlled this-and-that. I thought efficiency was important.

I think their inspiration came from here.

I would hope it would also apply to second-hand EVs.

totally unrealistic to think that policy is going to move them from the last adopters to early adopters with just several thousand dollars.

And generally have lower maintenance/ownership costs, which I gotta imagine is better for lower income folks than trying to keep an old ICE car running.

Having owned EVs for a while, range anxiety goes away. It turns into “I don’t want to pay for public charging when I can charge at home for much cheaper” anxiety.

Let’s not also forget that a Rav4 Prime is almost the same price as many lower-end EVs of the same type, like a VW ID.4, Nissan Ariya, Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq 5, just to name a few. And those EVs typically have more incentives than the Prime.
