Hey those are koala shoes not elephant shoes!

I think it’s actually kind of common for victims of sexual assault to “act out” sexually (for lack of a better term) after their assault, isn’t it? At least anecdotally I’ve seen it play out that way, and I can understand why. Not that I would put “sexy selfies” into the risky or dangerous sexual behavior camp though.

Yeah but Thanksgiving is about food consumption, aka the best kind of consumption

I want you to explain all the pretend things to me 🙂❤️

Foot phone is the best phone.

He’s also my longest standing celebrity crush. Fell in love with him when I saw Donnie Darko at 15 and I’ve never looked back.

I think if you listen to just the audio is creepy but the video itself is cute. Jake gyllenhaal talking to the baby foot like he’s on the phone! So cute

What a wonderful, inspiring story and a brilliant kid! I hope she continues to do great things in her life. This is definitely a bright spot in the news today.

I know that for me, in the past, trying to explain to someone how they violated me has been draining and made me feel more anger and shame. Writing a letter out but not sending it has been pretty helpful. I had a therapist that also asked me to write to my 15 year old self who was assaulted. It helped put things in

I agree. I’m not buying that he believed she was awake. I think he thought he could maybe convince her to get into it if she did wake up. It was entitlement to someone else’s body no matter what. Idk. I’m feeling so angry and sad after reading this.

I’m having such a difficult time thinking “he just didn’t know better and wasn’t taught what consent was.” I mean, he must not have seen women as people, but rather confusing alien creatures. Right? How else can you really, logically think that you should start touching someone’s body with absolutely no feedback from

I’m sorry for your experience. Mine was pretty similar. Took me almost a decade to call it assault and believe it. But it was. I wish you well.

Thank you :)

Yeah I hope her response is followed up with some action on Cross’s part. Like an actual apology, maybe a donation to an anti racist organization, etc. Women arent responsible for their partners actions, but if the partner keeps repeating these actions and the woman knows about it they are at least complicit.

Yeah it’s kinda like Taylor’s team wanted her to go edgy so they updated the beats to her songs but downgraded the lyrics so they’re less catchy and even simpler. Her voice and the lyrics are too saccharine to match the music and it just sounds like an identity crisis. Idk maybe her fans will like it, I’ve never been

Agreed.

Women have never been sacred. We’ve had all kinds of fucked up ideas pasted onto us and have been punished when we’ve failed to meet impossible standards. It’s because we’ve decided to speak up that he thinks times are different. Back then it was easier to ignore us. We weren’t treated better then, just silenced more

Such a terrible punishment for them :(

Damn. Thank you for this summary.
