Regarding 1, if the dealer isn’t dumb can’t he just clear the codes before he shows the car? Many won’t pop back up for more miles than a typical test drive.

The difference in (list) price between this thing and a base model WRX is $2,730. I’ve never bought a Hyundai. But I just bought a WRX, and I imagine that Hyundai is a bit more flexible on pricing. Call it $3,500.
