The sound is reminiscent of Shinee and, at parts, Monster-era EXO, for sure. But what I think makes that especially impressive for NCT 127 is that not too many would expect them navigate that sound as well as they did, given their discography up to this point. It’s an auditory pivot for the group, at it’s nice to see
