Except the depreciation shows no signs of slowing, because demand is so much lower than supply. You buy that $20k Model 3 today, next year it’s entirely possible it will be worth even less, putting you underwater in the loan, making it not so much a great value if you decide to trade or sell it, or if an accident…

Until you buy the car and it depreciates faster than you can pay off the loan, making it hard to trade in, sell, or get coverage after an accident for the value of the loan. If you like underwater loans a used EV is definitely the best value for losing money.
