I don’t see much of a due process issue. They can challenge it, just like with fixed speed cameras, redlight cams, and radar/lidar maintenance, but a continuous video feed showing the distance traveled over the specified time would be a mighty big hurdle.

TrafficLogix sells speed cameras, their cheapest costs “under $400 a month for a 36 month lease,” that can be bought out at the end.

Interesting.  The reason there’s probably not a whole lot of these is that there’s fewer than 14 million big rigs in the US, while there’s over 280 million personal cars.  Still fascinating to see the insides of a big rig this way.
