I don't think of privacy as an intrinsic right, I think of it as a means to securing other, more important rights. Privacy protects us from blackmail, but the problem there is the blackmail, not privacy.

You don't need to have a moral problem with Hitler to oppose him. Most nations that opposed him weren't doing so for moral reasons. He was a threat to every other nation's survival. Fighting for your life is not a moral action, it's a practical one. Fighting for your allies or potential allies' survival is also not a

Ah, a Chomsky-ite, nevermind engaging you in a discussion then.

I would argue that morality has no real place in international politics, which Snowden intentionally or unintentionally has involved himself in.

Communism has also caused problems, as well as pure, laissez-faire capitalism, as well as any other form of government under the sun.

There are also individuals who realize that the law has nothing to do with morality, but that doesn't mean you're immune to prosecution from immoral laws.

What, precisely is your issue with fascism?

Whoa, whoa, whoa!

I…have read otherwise.

They look godawful. I mean, I don't know whose nose those hundreds of millions are disappearing into, but that's some major league graft.

I'm sure if I was a comics fan I'd appreciate Falcon and Black Widow more, but I did not especially enjoy the performances and didn't really get a handle on their motivation.

And in the 'real' world of comics, a dude that calls himself Captain America is going to make a little bit on edge.

A) He could change his name.

I thought it was pretty firmly despised by most people.

I mean, I already don't like the idea that Captain America looks like Hitler's wet dream, but the fact that he espouses reactionary, conservative bullshit policies and the current society is seen as a failure to his, superior, standards just ticks me off.

Uh, I am not excited for this. I really don't love Captain America as the infallible moral center that's automatically correct.

I like a lot of British pop music, but I feel that Jessie J tries too hard to be an American pop star instead of embracing her Britishness.

Uh, doesn't China love RDJ movies?

Greatest comic of all time.

I mean, her entire problem beyond "Asshole Republicans misuse this song, so it sucks" and "A white artist created a black character" was "Lol Mellencamp amirite?"
