I've had really minor aspects of something really, really bother me. But these minor aspects are just wrong. I think the perspective of somebody who isn't super musically educated is alright, but their opinions are oftentimes unfounded or just poorly thought out.
Maybe Hatesong is a brilliant piece of satire criticizing peoples habits of disliking music for stupid reasons? It's like Colbert.
Honestly, I'm just watching for Donnie Yen.
"We all can be stalkers. We’ve all stalked someone at one time.”
I think if anybody was to argue that Hollywood is some sort of Satanic cult that makes deals with Lucifer himself for demonic gifts, I'd put that right at the top.
Your son should write for AVClub.

Ian takes the abuse because in Ian's words "If he ever fought back he'd kill him".
There was a message other than "Fuck the Russians"?
I don't think we're supposed to buy into it, or maybe we are and the writers are nuts.
I watched that movie when I was like 10ish (I watched the Matrix when I was six, it comes with the territory of having older brothers) and I remember enjoying it well enough. It was stupid yet fun, I don't get the hatred, is it because it's fans are super obnoxious or something?
I'm aware that depression is irrational, that wasn't my point. It's just that I know people with kids who killed themselves under the influence/watch of heavy mental illness, tons of drugs and terrible "friends". As I will quote earnestly and with complete cheese "Suicide doesn't mean things won't get any worse, it…
I can respect a person who understands the full significance of their actions and the consequences thereof and decides to take his life. Physician assisted suicide is completely ethical, by my standards. If you have Alzheimer's you're basically dead anyway.
