I doubt fixing it will take too long. It wouldn't surprise me if they weren't already testing a fix.

Looks like they took the idea of Sega Superstars Tennis and applied it to a gun game. Also for a split second the artwork had me hoping we were getting a new Jet Set Radio!
That's looking really cool. I'm particularly in a Wario mood as I've been replaying the old GameBoy Wario Land game just recently. I love the whole exploring aspect of the Wario games where you have to hunt around for secret areas where treasure is hidden.
I'm only on day 38 with Wii Fit, but I'm using it religiously every day. I do the long jog first thing in the morning and another long jog at lunch time (I'm still building up to the island lap as I'm out of shape). Then in the evening I do one more long jog and a whole bunch of muscle and yoga exercises (most…
Dyack's just pissed that his 10 year old game design is no longer going to cut it in today's market. The repetitive dungeon button masher might have been acceptable 10 years ago, but today people want more than that. I'm happy to admit I've not played the game, but if all the previews and video footage of the game…
I don't know what the Derby Stallion games are all about (I've seen Super Famicom cartridges with the name so presumably it's a popular franchise in Japan), but I do know it spawned a very attractive special edition "skeleton" Sgea Saturn in Japan, that now sells for very large amounts on eBay...
I think my one complaint about the original was that the earth flattening/digging system was a bit tedious and repetitive. If they've fixed that for this one I'll definitely get it.
It's not a holiday weekend for me, but I'll be playing some more Taiko Drum Master (just got it off eBay), Stellar Assault SS (just got it off eBay) and Soul Bubbles on the DS. If I have time I might get around to finishing Ninja Gaiden II. I got bored near the end...
Looking good, I'm still really looking forward to this game. GoW2 and GTAIV are definitely the biggest games of the year for me.
I remember there were rumours of a cheaper PS2 redesign last year that would remove the need for an external power brick, but those rumours suggested that the slim PS2 design would be retained...
Yahtzee is on fire this week, his MGS4 appraisal was spot on as well.
I'd have preferred Baja: Onion Bhajee.
No 3D? My guess would be DQIX is not coming out this year so Squeenix needed something quick and popular to plug the gap...
@Domasai: To me it seemed the recycling of the GameCube hardware provided a cheap and low cost hardware platform for Nintendo to take a risk with motion sensing controls with very little risk if it bombed like the VirtualBoy. The decision to not compete with Sony/Microsoft on the specs front and shun HD gaming…
Heh, I just started replaying it on the SNES the other day! I just hope CTDS is a bit more player friendly than FFIII, which took being faithful to the original gameplay way too far, especially for a handheld game where being able to save anywhere or very frequently should be a mandatory feature.
It's almost funny to think two years ago Nintendo were positioning themselves as the cheap #2 console for 360 and PS3 owners. Now, Sony and Microsoft are busy fighting for that position! It's still amazing how the Wii has grabbed the interests of such a huge spread of people.
I'm still looking forward to this a lot. It took me a while to warm to SR1, but after a while I really loved it. GTAIV was pretty great, and graphically it looks like it's still better than SR2, but SR2 looks like it's got all the fun sandboxey stuff that was missing from GTAIV.
This must be a problem more specific to the German market, as given the choice I'd always buy the 360 version of a game, even though I own a high-end PC. A joypad, a big screen and a decent seat beat hunching in front of the PC any day in my book.
I'm not surprised that the early word of mouth is negative. All the gameplay videos showed what looked to be a repetitive button mashing dungeon crawler, and when Dyack announced there was 40 hours worth of levelling up it seemed pretty obvious the game would a long and tedious affair.
That's a pretty bold claim, but I'm impressed that Ferro seems to know his games. Hopefully he's right about GoW2, but even if the story is no more in-depth than the first I'm still looking forward to it.
