Given the huge demand for the Wii, why bother cutting into your profits by paying for a DVD licence?

Heh heh, the clock addition is definitely one of those features you never really appreciate but is actually very, very useful, I'm always using it on the 360. I keep hoping Nintendo will add it to the Home screen on the Wii...
Man, I hope they remember to unplug the EyeToy or 360 camera if they're playing Burnout Paradise multiplayer...
@Jonaconda: It's funny how all the old systems used to be judged by their "bits". The Xbox1 was actually 32-bit because it used an Intel Celeron CPU. The PS2's main CPU core was 64-bit, but to the two VPU co-processors were 128-bit. The GameCube/Wii is 64-bit and the 360/PS3 are both 128-bit.
Preservation of old games and systems has long been something I've wondered how to tackle. In 100 years I wonder if there will be any working NES systems and cartridges? Certainly the CD/DVD/BD drives in current systems will have long packed up.
Yeah I'd love to know what patent Nintendo actually infringed. I've seen it suggested they changed their analogue stick design in the GC onwards (which is why GC sticks don't slowly seize up like the N64 ones) and the new design was possibly an unintentional copy of Anascape's patent.
Not again. I would like Yerli to explain how he knows how many copies of his game have been pirated, does the software phone home? That's a bit shit for starters.
I would have perhaps agreed with Smith if all his Lego games weren't the same basic design over and over again. All they need for a new Lego game is a popular franchise and a bunch of repetitive levels to stick in it. I get that the Lego games are popular, but I've never got very far in any of them before the…
It's sad to see LucasArts self-destruct like this, but looking at their output since the turn of the millennium most of their best stuff has come from being a publisher rather than a developer. I do want another Dark Forces/Jedi Knight game though...
New Sega racers are always an exciting event, even if they are based on the type of racers who think more spoilers and lighting on their car will make it go faster...
What a load of marketing bullshit. So does this mean Sony has given permission for the next generation to start now? Also will all these "true generation" games be in True HD (i.e. the 1080p they promised)? Or will they all be in 720p (or lower with upscaling)? I hate arrogant executive bullshit.
@PixelRambo: For some reason Soul Calibur is the one beat 'em up that I like to play using the analogue stick...
"Dokodemo suki shite itsudemo suki shite"
Has this guy actually played the game? Does Civ IV celebrate colonisation or have the developers used the game to actually say something meaningful about colonisation? Maybe the game is designed to show the player first hand the consequences of stealing land from a native populace?
@GOD: Exactly. Ask most GameCube owners if they were happy with the way third parties dumped the GC to concentrate on PS2 and Xbox1 and they'll likely not be very pleased (I know I wasn't very impressed, but then I owned an Xbox and PS2 as well so I wasn't too bothered).
@Sparx: Probably needed to keep Atari happy for advertising money.
I don't have a problem with the setting or character design of the game. It's the crushingly dull and repetitive sounding gameplay with it's long level grind that has put me off.
I like how they've mounted the guide button into the centre of the d-pad, thereby achieving the Herculean task of actually making a d-pad worse than the one on the 360 pad.
That oiled up Cammy shot is hot. Is that definitely Van Damme in the first pic? He sorta looks as if he's a look-a-like.
Great! It's about time we had a new game from I-don't-know-who, their last game (I-can't-remember) was excellent, and prior to that Super-I've-forgotten-II was really brilliant.
