Oh, I am not calling you out for recommending Shinola nor the term used.
Just wanted to make sure people are informed and don’t fall into the marketing hype. I was very intrigued myself before I researched them. Caveat Emptor.

You’ll notice I didn’t say “Made in America”, but rather “Assembled”. There is a key difference there.

Shinola is a shady “American” company with overpriced watches IMO and they wont get a single Dollar from me. I’d rather get a Seiko, Citizen, Casio or Timex

Screw performance and give the people what they want: the same reskinned pair of pants in a new locked lootbox.

It’s so rare to find an LC of any type for so cheap. I’d take it for what it is, fit some seat covers and have some Duke boys level of fun with it. If it breaks catastrophically, I won’t feel so bad.

...and missing the reliability part.

Good news, you can have it! For about $140,000

I just want this godamn thing. Two doors, AWD, compact and fun. The perfect successor.

I can’t wait to see what a letdown the new Supra will be.

Toyota realized they sold out, felt bad, and released the FJ. Then, they realized that they’re actually soulless and owned it by canceling the FJ. Toyota does fun cars every so often, but they never last.

You are making owners a victim over something they may have very little control over.

Refusing registration doesn’t work because a lot of the time it’s not on the owners. Just look at takata, are you going to deny someone registration for that fiasco?

You were stranded 10 miles from me! I could have taken my CJ5 to rescue you and then promptly break down as well.

I clearly don’t need my entire chair, because I’M ONLY USING THE EDGE!

Seriously, you guys are my heroes. It takes a major brass pair to drive a crapcan like that any distance greater than you can comfortably walk home.

You should always expect it. ;)

My previous vehicle, a Corolla, was in Group A for the airbag recall. After over two years of waiting for parts to become available, I traded it in on a vehicle that didn’t have a fragmentation grenade in the steering wheel. Refusing me registration for over two years because there is literally nothing I can do to fix

sorry you’re Takata airbags means you can’t take your car home, even thought it’ll be 3 years before they get new ones ready for your vehicle?

What’s wrong with the lien? Have you never bought a vehicle that had a lien on it? Typically you head straight to the lien-holding-bank with the current owner and do the entire process there. That’s the best way to ensure you become the new title owner and don’t get screwed over. It’s easy peezy lemon squeezy.

Never put away your aux cable until you make sure all the music has drained out of it. Proper care is important.

Some years ago on a road trip with my then-girlfriend I played music on car’s stereo from my phone via aux cable. When, for some reason, I decided it was enough music I disconnected the phone. When I did that radio kicked in for a moment before I turned it off. My girlfriend couldn’t understand how come there still
