i think this is a confusion caused by the use of an author’s name when discussing his or her art, and why i like to avoid it. we can’t know anything with certainty about an author from their art, so there is no point in speculating. what we can say, however, is that these consistent portrayals are not acceptable to us

i play lots of games and still have trouble controlling the camera while moving. you’re trying to coordinate movement on multiple axes, which frankly requires quite a bit too much attention when the game is probably demanding you focus on a lot of other things at the same time. i think it reflects the shortsightedness
