"The soundtrack gets manic. Gorō, as if he can hear the music, eats faster. Groaning, he finishes off the meal without spilling anything on his tie."

"Unfortunately overall Japanese television is as bad as it gets." And yet your profile picture is from Gokusen? Oh the irony. Somebody's a little into the harem shows…
There is teriyaki in Japan. Its not a Korean-American invention but its really like regular home-style cooking… like what every mom makes. Its regular food so you don't typically see it a lot in restaurants.
Its food porn at its best though. I've watched the first season just recently and I loved it so much that I'm planning on going to Japan next year for those Satou men-chi katsu (meat cutlets) in Kichijoji.
But come on, Rick and Morty or Bojack Horseman are better than FMA:B? you're kidding me.
His real name was Kenshin Himura.
Fullmetal Alchemist why so low? The ending was brilliant!
Rurouni Kenshin Trust and Betrayal (the OVA) or Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood are better.
Rurouni Kenshin Trust and Betrayal is 100% better
I didn't… because I watch anime. This is nothing.
Literally EVERY samurai film ends badly or bittersweet. Look at Rurouni Kenshin OVAs (Trust and Betrayal, Reflections). Its a masterpiece of storytelling and animation but my god is it a heart attack in anime format.

Exactly.
"Hahaha there is wire work for sure lol kenshin can't run parallel to the ground. " you mean the time they tied the rope around his hips and had him run as fast and as near to the ground as possible? That's not the wirework I was referring to. Wirework i.e. Hong Kong style wirework where people have the magical…
Yes. Although don't expect it to be exactly like the OVA (which are beautiful works of art but there are physical limitations of course). Its a faithful adaptation and some of the best sword fights.
So race isn't the issue here, but ability. And frankly Jones just doesn't have it.
Are you Asian? or do you mean the people who have no idea about the source material (which applies to any race really)? Tell me, would you like it if a series cast an Asian just because it was pressured to do so? I don't know about you but I'd be insulted. No, what we would like to see is an actual Asian character…
One of the best sword fight choreography I've seen is in the Japanese movie Rurouni Kenshin. In that movie they didn't use stunt doubles all the actors did their own stunts, no cgi or a lot of wire work. For the fighters they had people with either dance background or martial arts background. The result is some…
Her punches lack power and momentum to be honest. There is something awkward about her movements still.
I find it a little funny that most of the people complaining about the whole race thing are mostly white but the actual Asians don't care. As an Asian, I'd rather have a Shang-chi series than have an Asian guy in Iron Fist just because a couple of white people have the need for everything to be diverse for diversity's…
