The problem that I have with modern Lexuses is the switchgear and buttons...They all look like something out of a Corolla. The all-caps Helvetica (I think) labels on everything just look cheap (this after having just checked out an RC-F this past weekend). Not to mention the matte gunetal plastic surrounds around all

Dieselgate or not the R400 was never coming to the States, just like the GTI Clubsport is never coming to the States.

I dont think the average Jalop is spending $80K on a car. Maybe theyll be third or fourth owners some day down the line if Toyota makes and sells enough that they arent super rare. Also, theres a certain cachet that goes along with owning a Corvette that isnt shared with folks who buy Toyotas. maybe the NewPra

It’s a Toyota; that’s a given.

Did you miss where they got caught allegedly lying about emissions also? However I fully support a diesel...My former Cummins Ram 2500 (2013) would get over 20MPG on the highway; pretty good for a vehicle weighing almost three and a half tons.

That was actually WHEN I was hit by the car so I dunno.

Have also been hit by a car. Can confirm.

Good to know...according to some googling there were approximately 11,500 of the MK4 Supra sold over their lifetime in the US...So not exactly big sales numbers.

And out of curiosity who do you see buying an $80,000+ vehicle that’s badged as a Toyota? You’re not going to see a 500+hp New Supra (I suggest NewPra). I mean, you might in a dealership. But no one will be buying them.

The LC500 weights 4435 lbs in top trim (LC500h). It’s no super sports fighter. It is a weighty GT car.

You guys need to watch Speed Academy on YouTube. If you did you’d know of Calabogie.

If your headlight comes on at key-ON, it is good for the batteries to flow some current before cranking in cold weather. The suggested headlight-on time before cranking depends on the temperature. If starting at

Self, wife and children, mistress and illegitimate children. Or maybe they just get a helicopter. But what kind of heathen would have them all traveling together?

A BRZ is a *sporty* car; I would not call it a sports car (nor would most Jalops I think).

The biggest problem is that new, it is not and has never been under $25K. And of course all the douchebag dealers think they’re “rare”. I had one for 20 months; it was fun, I learned manual on it. It was still slow though.

Er...do “stick” and “manual” not mean the same thing to you?

Um, no. Ask you how you’d have felt if he’d said, I don’t eat ice cream, that’s for women. Or, ice cream is for blacks (reminder: he’s a Brit so he would never say “African Americans”). But you go on believing everyone is secretly or overtly homophobic. I will go on being disappointed in Hamster.
