The Traveling Tent seemed like a huge PITA just for the sake of having a different piece of scenery outside the window each episode. Just leave it in one place all the time and save a few squillion dollars. It added little to the show and added a bunch (I suspect) to the budget.

The show still has that hyperactive editing typical of the American car shows you seem to hate. I recommend not underestimating your audience’s attention span. Tell the editor to calm down a little.

Fake grilles have nothing to do with aero or fuel economy. They have everything to do with fooling dumb people into thinking the car has aggressive styling.
I fucking hate bumper-obviously-through-grille syndrome. See, if you make something black, it becomes invisible. Then, you can pretend it’s also invisible to air! You can just style your way right over whatever inconvenient mechanical realities you like!
