You obviously haven’t seen the better HS Marching Bands in this country.

Ah, okay. So I was mainly aiming at the show’s writing there. I think saying someone went to West Point is just like saying they went to Yale — it’s a quick note to emphasize that they’re smart and accomplished without saying much more. But when a lawyer or a doctor says they go to Yale, you know what they probably

I don’t think the reviewer was trying to insult his intelligence, just that the writing is awkward? “Scoring high in intelligence” is a line better describing an RPG character, not a human being. Like, better to just say he’s “educated” or “graduated from X” to emphasize his smarts.

Oh man, I was definitely not implying that he was stupid! It’s more that “scoring high in intelligence” is a strangely ephemeral remark. Like, is it just that he had a high IQ (which has some icky racist implications)? Or maybe he studied political science? Or something related to medicine? Of all the things I implied

Oh they’re definitely setting up Young Avengers for a future Phase.

He’s not stupid, though. He’s shown as being very good with the shield. Likely a heroic and worthy soldier in most respects. But is that enough to carry on Cap’s legacy, especially in the 21st century? That’s the question the show’s asking, it seems, and it’s a good one.

It’s still an...ok...animated show. Which is damning with faint praise.

Adam Reed got bored enough to consider wrapping it up back in season 3 or 4. That’s why they started changing up the formula (starting with Archer Vice, and then later with the coma seasons), so he could keep himself interested.

Yeah, like...I cannot fathom how mediocre the already-mediocre current Archer would get.

What’s over/under she’s back on Twitter in X amount of months?

I’ve seen an equal amount of people dunking on Chrissy Teigen as those defending her and honestly I just can’t imagine wrapping up any amount of your identity in a celebrity like that.

She’s WAY too thirsty to stay off the Twitter for long.

She’ll be back. No different than a pro wrestling Loser Leave Town match or when someone dies in a comic book.

I’ve always felt the same. I see her as a personality and an influencer, but I’ve always found myself asking why she’s even around and why people find her relatable. When I see Kristen Bell’s version of being ‘normal’, I maybe naively think that, yes, this person actually looks normal. I recently saw Viola Davis on The

She also looks about 10 years older than her age thanks to some bizarre plastic surgery decisions.

I have never understood Ms. Teigen’s popularity; she’s not funny, nor particularly creative or insightful.  She is just there...and that’s been enough for a lot of people, I guess.  While I literally won’t miss her presence on Twitter, I don’t wish her or her husband any animus or ill will.  I just don’t get the

Yeah, I don’t get why this is surprising or ironic. It’s almost a little racist in its own way to be amazed some Koreans would blame China... What’s the thinking, because they’re both Asian countries they should have more understanding? Most Asians are pretty scared of the Chinese government actually. But calling

Agreed that he took this step when he had nothing to risk by just letting the moment pass, but I did find his comment about “cancel culture” vs what he was doing as unnecessary. Bringing that to the conversation is an open wink, wink to exactly those who would argue he has nothing to apologize for.

I mean - COVID did originate in China. I am totally disgusted with Trump and the right’s weaponization of the virus as some kind of excuse for promoting racism and bigotry. But I think it’s also important that it’s not lost that the Chinese government hid and obfuscated the magnitude of the virus for weeks both from

Unfortunately he rather spoiled the apology by phrasing it “Me so solly
