My one hope for all of this: I never have to hear about the fucking Snyder Cut again. I generally try not to yuck other people’s yum. I get that Snyder’s style is not appealing to me and that’s fine. Enjoy what you enjoy.

You do understand that it’s so empty explicitly because most people have the sense to not go to theaters, right?

The six feet rule has long been disproven as a large enough distance for safety, especially indoors with air conditioning blowing particles all around the room. And we pretty much can’t trace cases to anything, because we got absolutely crushed by the pandemic, and places that had movie theaters open also had tons of…

But cases have not-NOT been traced to theaters, since it’s virtually impossible to say “The kinds of people risking a theater visit would only ever break their quarantine for a movie theater,” since the kinds of people seeing movies right now are very likely to be doing other non-quarantine activites.

Respect the hell out of him, and I’m gonna watch that Climate of the Hunter movie sometime, but for someone who didn’t go to film school I do get serious film-bro vibes off of him.

“He’s been compared to Soderbergh” is a pretty misleading subhead once you realize, having read the first few hundred words, that the full statement is: “He’s been compared to Soderbergh because they both make a lot of movies.” That’s not a very significant thing to have in common.
