depending on how they do it teh same platform could power the Sentra, Altima, 200SX and a Z. the Altima platform already supports FWD and AWD, so RWD would be easily done. So it could be shrunk a bit for a FWD Sentra and RWD 200SX, and the Altima size could be used for a new Z.

Either way you need to develop a new platform, the Q’s and Z are the same underpinnings.

They are also great for getting people into dealerships via advertising and Motorsports events by generating brand recognition.

Altima is a large selling fleet vehicle. Financially it makes sense to keep it for rental companies and taxis.

Kill the Maxima. Its nearly same size as Altima, just bring over the options to Altima, allow the 2.0T version to have AWD.

Really? So um.. why does all the suspension and drive train also have BMW branding? The interior is a BMW parts bin special.

Sure but GM redesigned everything else, and re-worked an existing engine in house. That’s a lot more work than Toyota did. If I remember Toyota said doing an i6 engine in house was to pricey, which is odd as then a week later Mazda, much smaller than Toyota said they are doing an i6 in house.

The reason the MKIV Supra pulls money was originally for a bullet proof motor. BMW doesn’t have that reputation. They were also produced in lower numbers, and were hyped up by a movie franchise. You can find vettes all over. Even the lowest end Supra is hard to find due to how few were made, same with RX7.

How is it better in any way? And of course it will sell better world wide if only one car is available world wide.

Far as I’m concerned GM just gave the middle finger to the Supra.
