A snowball can easily dent a panel.

And yet the big teams are reporting more downforce than last years cars with the wider wings. They weren’t front limited before either.

What’s better than a triple rotor rally car with straight pipes?
A triple rotor rally cars with straight pipes, in the dark, with fire!

Anyone familar with rallying will tell you that enough horsepower is never enough.

“Cars are supposed to keep all four wheels on the ground.”

They are? Shit.
Is this some sort of unwritten rule or something?

My story - when it’s running, the wheels are in the air, when it’s not running, it’s on axle stands, so the wheels are in the air:

The inners deal with all the plunge, you’ll have a lot more driveshaft plunge because the lower wishbone is far more angled.

It could certainly be done, I’m positive I could make one work - but you’d start by doing....nothing this guy in the article did.

And he could have killed someone through incompetence and complete lack of any research whatsoever.

Take the shafts out and fit ones that will do more angle. And you probably need inners that will take more plunge too. And probably longer shafts.

My Safari car thing is fine.

These people live amongst us. And are driving a tonne of steel with orders of magnitude more energy than a high powered rifle.
In deathtraps made by the clueless.
He’s lucky it only tried to kill him and he didn’t hit someone else.

That’s how all race protests work. Welcome to motorsports

You don’t get it, they don’t care if it is or it isn’t, they might let him run just because they assume he turned up without realising and they’d rather he had a fun day racing than turn him away.
The scrutineers check the car and say it’s safe to run.
The car is fast ‘cause it has shitloads of power and torque and

Happens all the time, that’s normal for racing.
 Even in F1.

They’ll be explicitly permitted because they fall under the definition of a competition vehicle in the rules - bodywork bounding boxes, engine in regs, four wheels, etc.
You don’t do any competition racing do you? This is inherent in almost every series, otherwise you’d have massive loopholes and flagrant cheating

Does anything permit you explicitly to use electric motors and battery packs for propulsion?

Do they say ‘electric motors and battery propulsion are permitted’?
Or do they just omit them completely?
‘cause in motorsport, generally if its the latter, it’s banned.

I would imagine nobody protested it until they realised it was costing them points.

Does that rule also say electric motors are permitted?
The vast majority of motorsport rule books will state that unless something is inherently written as permitted, then it is banned.
