People would’ve lauded the shit out of Ty if he’d gotten to the 40 or 50 yard line on the return. And if this dude had been tackled at the 2, he would’ve been called an idiot as well.

This license plate tho.

It’s such a weak argument, though. Find a strong candidate and go with them. Don’t take some limelight seeker just because he’s a white dude. MANY people would rally around literally anyone else.

Saw this at Radwood at Road Atlanta! It was one of my favorites at the show

These teachers ARE the bad guys. Not the only bad guys, maybe, but still bad guys. Come on. In an emergency situation, are we still going to pay attention to boys vs. girls locker room?? The teachers should’ve herded the kids into whatever the nearest safe space was. WTF????

Trump’s. Big. A-brain.

All it needs to accomplish is, as Andrew Lennon said above, “go fast and look good.” And make Porsche shit tons of money.

At what point does the GOP go, “okay maybe this dude should step down and we can replace him with someone else.”

Oh that’s horrible. And intensely frustrating.

The ref apparently said he “didn’t see it.”

Yeah. The ref said something afterwards that he should’ve put his hands out to brace himself or something, but then he’d just be at a risk of breaking his wrist. It just makes no sense and refs have to take that into account.

It doesn’t follow the spirit of the rule though. And if you are going to literally put in the rule book that the referees are going to be “guided by the following rules,” they should take those rules at their spirit and not literally in cases where it clearly doesn’t make sense. That hit on Smith is EXACTLY what a

I was at the game and the Packers fans got LOUD after that sack. The Boos were definitely well heard. And most of the Washington fans agreed it was a BS call.

Did you see how quickly the ref ran over to smith to make sure he got out of the packers bench area? LOL

The difference is that Barr last year drove Rodgers into the ground, which happened to be on his shoulder, putting pressure on the collar bone.  The rule is for the driving part, not the routine tackle part. And that is what Clay did here. Like you said, don’t penalize the tackling player for landing on the tackled

Then make your system better for developing players. That way backups are more capable of shining. And backups that do perform well are the classic stepping stone for a career of their own. Or just one lucrative deal that they then fail to live up to. LOL

Difference is that the Vikings LB last year drove Rodgers into the ground, which happened to be at the specific angle that put pressure on the collar bone. The driving into the ground is what the rule was for, not a routine sack.

Especially if the tackle is performed EXACTLY how the NFL likes kids from day 1 in pop warner to learn how to tackle. There was nothing extra that Clay put on it, as he himself said he could have if he wanted to. This was straight momentum, nothing more. Text book football play.

So basically the NFL doesn’t know its own rules?

That’s sad, considering this kid was a rookie...
