This dude had a convenience store and deli, paid taxes, and accordig to his congressman, “was a pillar of the community and brought commerce to a downtown that craved investment.” Damn freeloader...

I’m a HUGE 996 fan. I love seeing them. I may be biased because the only 911 I’ve ever had the pleasure of driving was a manual 996 C4S, but it was glorious. I love the feeling, the sound, the grip, the gearbox... It’s a great car to drive.
You’re right that DACA has much more support than the ACA had. With the ACA it was more that once they had it, people didn’t want to lose their healthcare because any is better than none.
That’s definitely the hope. But Steve Scalise’s words this morning were not very encouraging regarding passing a DACA deal in the house. And there was also immense public support for the ACA that the republicans tried so hard to kill, and then also overwhelming public opinion against the tax proposal, which…
I’m not calling for obstructionism. But sticking to your principles and fighting for something is not obstructionism. The Feb 8 extension is fine. I’m just not cool with the lukewarm commitment at best to getting DACA done. The VAST majority of people in the US want a DACA deal done. So they need to get it done. This…
And here’s why I said it’s a shit deal on the future DACA “commitment:”
In this case they should’ve insisted on more than a “yeah sure we’ll maybe open it up to discussion after Feb 8.” They abandoned all their leverage for an (probably) empty promise. Meanwhile they gave the repubs exactly what they wanted: they can now say the dems gave in, they got funding for that fucked up wall, and…
Not sure what you’re referring to...
That’s weird, because according to this poll as reported in thehill.com, nearly 9 out of 10 Americans want DACA recipients to stay in the US...
And Republicans will find a new CHIP. Another guilt trip to fool Dems into caving. Dems clearly can’t handle leverage or having the upper hand in anything. They can never decide if they want to play hardball or play nice and usually go with the nice, when hardball would’ve been the better option.
Compromise, though, implies that both sides get something. In this case, Republicans got what they wanted, and then some, and Democrats maybe got something later, depending on the trustworthiness of someone who is not very trustworthy. So yeah, compromise is great. This is not that.
Thankfully, both the people he was talking about took care of the “evidence” part themselves, right off the bat with the MS13 thing.
Some kids just get it. Check this out too:
Why this is not more widely understood by people I don’t know. Their desire for nukes is a desire for security and because they basically don’t have anything else, they hope nukes or the threat thereof are enough to keep enemies at bay and people scared enough to stay out. DPRK isn’t stupid. Like you said, they know…
I bet this can be mounted to a dash somehow!
I love the seperation of church and state on display here...
Hi! Dutch person here. The Hague is the seat of government, while Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands.
I always get nervouse about not having added enough cheese, but I’m going to try this ratio next time. I also use the whole egg (usually 2 eggs for a pound of pasta), but just yolks sounds pretty amazing, actually!
No but the methods used to do this are.
