Oh, I get why it is, but I never understood why both sets of lights weren’t hooked up, especially, as you said yourself, the bumper lights are mounted too low to see when a following vehicle is close behind, like in a traffic situation. It’s especially confusing when you’re expecting some kind of signal and you

It rains a lot in Ireland. We’re pretty much known for it. We get all sorts of different types of rain, often within minutes. Especially in the summer. You’d think, then, people would know how to use their wipers. But that same shit happens here too. My dad is a bollocks for it.

Ironic, because a simple leaf could fuck this whole thing up.

The outboard lights look like an afterthought too, like so much of the new Defender, so the job’s a good ‘un, I suppose?

I can say, categorically, that has never happened to mddddsshhhhy🇮🇪🇮🇪🤔🖖™️💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋ffffffffffffffffff

Fairly sure that’s a 48” TV which just has the bottom 3/4 obscured by dashboard. I know displays have a night mode, but they also tend to be small, localised and well below a driver’s line of sight.

Oh my brother and his husband call me a breeder all the time. I think whether it puts me in the minority is down to geography (here, we had a referendum to enshrine the right to marriage for all in the constitution, which was passed by a landslide). So, in a traditionally conservative country, it became clear, kind of

Well I’m a straight guy, but don’t see being called gay as an insult. I just thought it was funny, and clever!

How am I only the first person to star-click this?

Doesn’t make him less of a personality vacuum though. He’s an obnoxious mouthpiece and he hasn’t even had the decency to retire yet, so I’m really not sure what his excuse is. Very quick to criticise others of the exact things he’s guilty of.

Max Verstappen hasn’t been gifted with self awareness, has he?

Their ease to drive is kinda what scares me because I know I’d get cocky and bite off more than I could chew (need to reappraise that sentence - looks worse in writing than it appeared in my head). I do try my best to be a sensible driver, but I think we’re all guilty of overindulging in pushing the go pedal a little

I always think these things look cool and would be fun to mess about in, but being realistic, I know it’d take me about 8 seconds to run out of talent and get dead or maimed. I will continue to admire them from a distance. 20-odd grand seems a bit steep, though. I could spend that on something much less likely to put

This is from the same era as the Trajet, the car that caused me so much grief. They were fairly ubiquitous in Europe, so their charm was lost on me. A friend of mine drives an i20, which is the Getz’s successor, but looks even more bland.

Based on the filth of this thing, a working UV light will just show up a lot of other things my eyes aren’t ready for. I doubt its functionality is to the seller’s benefit.

Basing this on a Giugiaro design is no bad thing as far as I’m concerned. As someone who (baselessly) hates Hyundai, because I was custodian of a pretty bad one that dated from the early-noughties, yet knowing they have upped their game in recent years, it pains me to admit to liking this concept. If it gets made, I

Giugiaro. He designed the concept in the article above. Hard to deny the influence it obviously had on a certain cult, underpowered, stainless steel, gullwinged, iconic failure.

Nissan have some pretty nice small car designs at the moment, with the Juke, here, picking up where the new Micra left off. I daresay, the Micra is gorgeous in the sheetmetal. I like this Juke’s interior, too. Reminds me of the very attractive A-Class. And they’ve ditched the CVT.

I’m all about letting people drive my car. My car is a 13 year old shit-heap, and if someone else is driving it usually means I’ve had a few.

I’m all about scatological humour. To my wife’s chagrin.
