Don’t think there’s anything ironic about it. While motorsports safety has improved beyond measure in recent years, every driver partakes knowing it is still not a risk-free endeavour. Part of Craig’s role in offering tutelage to young drivers would be imparting that wisdom so that, if they choose to pursue a career,

So deeply sad to hear this. Breen was an advocate for motorsport in Ireland like no-one else, and even just last week attended a tuition day for up-and-coming drivers.

Jack Reynor wouldn’t have been 17 until 2009. The Pluriel itself not introduced until July 2003.

I grew up with that ad. I had no idea it was him.

Not sure either he nor the former Renault team would be in much of a hurry to embrace a return.

I have not but I will add it to my rotation. Thanks for the recommendation!

Discovered Soup through Jalopnik years ago, and it turns out I live about thirty minutes away from where George is based. Apart from his videos being immensely entertaining and interesting, I’ve actually learned heaps from them too. It kind of covers all bases, and is the best of YouTube’s raison d’être.

I never forget! As a Jordan fan, ‘98 and ‘99 were the absolute high water mark of F1 for me. No doubt if Schumacher didn’t have his accident in Silverstone it’d have been different gravy. But then, Ferrari could still have had a champion that season if they didn’t sabotage it - there’s no way they’d have let Irvine

Love how Frentzen found success “even with Jordan”, who delivered him two of his three race wins and 3rd in the 1999 championship. As if Sauber have got anywhere near that in their entire history!

The article has been updated, but the headline hasn’t been corrected?

What kind of phone do you own?

Apple have subscription models for services, not their software. You pay for membership of iCloud, Apple Music, Apple fitness, Apple Arcade, etc. All Mac, iOS, Apple TV and other updates are free. CarPlay in its current iteration allows for third party apps, like Spotify and Google maps. So I think your fear is

Why?

Probably not wrong

Comparing a Suzuki Swift with an Impreza (as a “small” car) is hilarious. As is comparing an Up to a Civic. None of these cars are in the same class as what they’re being compared to, so it’s all apples and oranges.

Have to vouch for the Volvo. Worf and Chewie loved my old one. They’re both in the region of 80lbs each (they were a lot smaller than that in the photo). Back seat of a Passat? Not so much.

Oh you should fly Ryanair some time!

I feel your pain (albeit with a 1” greater inseam).

May it serve you a long time.

As the DeLorean was already mentioned, I’m nominating the Honda CRZ. Looks great, but the performance didn’t live up to its billing as a successor to the CRX.
