Was going to be my nomination. Surprised I had to scroll so far.

That’s a shame. We’d have approximately the same climate here in Ireland too. If I was to end up with some kind of a massive windfall, the Polestar 2 would be my electric vehicle of choice. Are there no other material options? How’s the V60 CC? I’m extremely jealous, and I’ve just given up my trusty V70 and would like

I got to be a passenger in the preceding S-Type, and it was like being on a cloud. The seats and the ride were so smooth. It’s a shame it didn’t carry over to the newer generation.

Surprising, considering Volvo are consistently (rightly) lauded for their seats.

My old B5 Passat coincided with the onset of sciatica in me, which I’ll not blame the seats for, but it never affected me in the same way when I switched to my first Volvo.

My abiding memory of the B3 Passat is being involved in a t-bone accident in one that was being driven as a taxi when I was 12 years old. The car that hit us was a Volvo 300-series (don’t recall the exact model). I remember being pushed into the corner of my seat and everything seeming to move in slow motion as the

This is mortifying.

Don’t think we had a canning scene this side of the pond, nor Ford Pintos, so it’s all alien to me.

Lola T70 - or, more likely, a replica thereof.

Was going to guess a Volvo C40, but the dimensions don’t seem to add up. I’ve seen one of those in the wild already so not sure why they would be so heavily camouflaged in that case.

Photo taken in Australia. Ute. Makes sense.

I’ve seen two so far - one in the gloaming, which I caught up with again when fully dark. That rear light signature is difficult to mistake. I think it looks great, too.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is it?

I drove past one of these, in this colour, very fleetingly yesterday (Saturday). I don’t know exactly what model it was; whether a 365 GT4 2+2, a 400 or a 412. I had never seen one before, even on a visit to the Museo Enzo Ferrari in Modena. Any exotic is a rare thing here in Ireland, so I was suitably impressed.

Sounds like Glazewski will be opening his own connivance store…

In terms of long term investment, and because rumours of retirement abound every closed-season, a very pragmatic Toto Wolff might just start switching team backing to Russell. Hamilton’s whining on the radio (just when I was starting to develop a bit of sympathy for him after last year’s end-of-season catastrofuck)

You’re probably right. Whereas if it was my crapcan Volvo (RIP), they’d probably have nailed my balls to the wall.

Doesn’t mean they didn’t do anything illegal, it just means they weren’t caught.

The anecdote about the Volvos doesn’t state they were gotten rid of due to poor reliability. If I had the financial wherewithal, I’d get a new car every three years, too.

I’m in Ireland. I drive an RHD on the correct side of the road!
