Oh please. Did that actually happen!? At least it’s just a visual re-test, so I don’t feel so bad laughing about it.

4) Use the rest of the money to buy a house.

I will immediately google this person. I like the sound of him.

The partnership may have had something to do with an attempted takeover of MG from British Leyland by Aston Martin.

The Starlet of the time was, at least, rear-wheel drive.

Yep, any collective noun will be seen as plural. Goes for bands, sports teams, you name it. It never sits right with me when I see someone use the singular when talking about a Metallica.

And a perfect example of the interchangeability of “bush” and “bushing”. This is a document I was working on for a client of my employer. We make parts for commercial aircraft first- and business-class seats, which they assemble.

I still get sad when I think there’ll be no new Anthony Bourdain shows. He visited my former workplace in Dublin for his Layover show and I think immediately the visitors increased a couple hundred per cent.

Thought this was supposed to contain parody suggestions only, not actual things I would watch.

It’s such a shame you haven’t already got the power...

And there’s the crux of the matter. And as long as the FIA continue to do things like that, Formula One will never be relevant or helpful in the trickle-down of real-world driving technology. Things are only expensive until they’re not.

A huge accident, for sure, but any number of failures could cause that to happen. Hell, suspension doesn’t have to be “active” for it to happen.

By that rationale, they’d have banned pneumatic tyres.

Was wondering the same. Can’t think there was a safety issue behind it.

The 2J is one of my favourite cars. It’s hideously ugly, but beautiful in how mental it is.

This is good Jalopnik.

Yes, but I get confused as to whether “main beam” means low (more frequently used, being the meaning of “main”) or high. Most people seem to take it as meaning high. So, I just use low and high!

*tyre 😉

For what it’s worth, I do personally prefer to refer to “high beam” or “low beam” headlights.

I’m not from the UK, but from their slightly less self-destructive neighbour (slightly), and we still refer to “dipping” or “dipped” headlights. “Bushes” and “bushings” are interchangeable, too.
