Damn it, beat me to it. I always liked that one.

Newman's Own?

Seriously. This weather is bullshit. At least it could have the decency to really freeze and close the city down for the long weekend.

Was gonna say the same thing. I've been driving one since 2005. Thankfully, mine didn't suffer the dreaded precat failure that many of the first two years' MR2s had. Burns a little oil, but otherwise completely trouble-free for over 8 years.

Honda's SSM was a pretty sweet concept, with an interior that made the selfishness of the production S2000 look positively generous.

Well, it's all right for you, Steve, we haven't all been pleasurably cavity-searched today.

Ah. Of course the boxster was first shown in 93. It's funny, I hated the MR2 when I first saw it at the Detroit show in 2000. Dismissed it as an anime boxster. Funny how five years of designing cars changed my opinion of it.

Boxster, 1998, MR2. 2000. Mine's been my DD since 2005, and I still love it every day. My theory on the low production numbers of the MR2 was that they made a business case for it as a testbed for corolla emissions parts. The 2000-2001 models were notorious for precat failures, which destroyed their engines, and

This isn't my first Grand Pricks, you know.

When I first saw it at the 2000 Detroit show, I hated it. Five and a half years later, I bought it. Eight years later, I still drive it everyday.
(Not a picture of my car)

Yep. I still love the Steppenwolf, too. That thing was perfect.

Audi: teasing us for decades.

I wonder how many Enzos there are in Austin? It's probably the same one I saw heading up Congress one morning when I was at the city hall Austin Java. This was in 2007, I think.

Sadly, though, it seems they did get rid of the "grip at steep angles" part, as well as the line about altitude. And no mention of Matra whatsoever.

This thread about it on Oppo had me laughing all morning yesterday.

Not gonna jump on the bandwagon and say that it's completely illegible. It's just mostly illegible. Tiny pictures, huge, competitive related stories column taking up almost as much space as the actual content, headlines that don't read as headlines.

Absolutely true. It's been my DD since 2005. My house in Austin is 5 minutes from the airport. My mom came to visit once, took a taxi to my place, and the driver, utterly baffled and not happy about the short run, said to her, "Why your son not pick you up?"

Right there with you, man. Such a ridiculous dongmobile.

Now, see, reflectors and triangles on trunklids make sense, because they use other people's lights to work, whereas with this, chances are probably pretty good that if you're stopped by the side of the road, it's because it's British and from a certain era and dark as the night, and full of terrors.

Here you go. Other than this, though, I'd say you're right.
