So you're saying the logical common-sense inference is that Maher is in fact trying to get himself fired?

Nice. Help yourself to some bonus nerd XP!
That's an odd comment from someone who keeps clicking little congratulations to himself.
Which is why sending one via Twitter is exactly the kind of dumbass thing he'd do.
If the investigation gets too hot, I wouldn't put it past him to send some goons to take Hillary into custody just for the bread and circuses of it all. "Boo Hillary" is his fans' favourite jam, so TBH it would probably put his approval ratings back up to the (still pitiful) levels they were at his inauguration. If I…
Which is evolving into just a very elongated prank.
If anyone had actually complained about that, i'd agree.
I hate to be that guy, but they disappear with the sound of 100,000 people saying "wop".
What the foop is this stoop soup?
What do you do with the Pop Tart? WHAT DO YOU DO WITH THE POP TART?!
Murder and rape of women do get more screen time, but it's at least partly for insidious reasons. One is that a woman's murder is often a plot point or catalyst (the old "women in the fridge" trope). Another is that I think violence to women (particularly rape and female captivity) is somewhat fetishized by some…
I'd like to hear what someone who actually knows about Italian life thinks about this. I got the impression that Francesca was marrying Pino because of social pressure. Not that she doesn't love him, just that she wouldn't be marrying him if she weren't worried about what people would say. Even though Modena isn't a…

I posted this in another thread, but what the hey: that word gets easier to spell when you know it's from the same root as "finite." To "define" literally means to give an end to something. So when something is "definite" it's because the matter is closed and brought to an end ("fin" in French, or as in "final").
My mother used to teach dyslexic kids, and on the wall of her classroom was a poster that read: "It is not necessary to look old. Never Eat Chips, Eat Scrummy Salad And Remain Young." It's dumb, but the best mnemonics usually are.

I want to see the statistics on how many people are googling how to spell "alot." Because an astonishing number of people think that's a word.
