And yet, who could love this car that much? Somehow, some way, this guy sees in this car something no one else does. The universe has spoken, the car is already with it’s rightful owner.

All he needed to do was not be a Muppet and put the right tires on the car before driving in the winter. Summer tires should NEVER be driven in wintery conditions, period. They turn into ice skates. On the proper tires, this thing would have been just as controllable as any other vehicle - especially with modern-day…
Yeah that’s insane. It’s a 12 year old car. At 200,000 miles with an oil change every 1,200 miles, that means this thing has had at least 166 oil changes. 166/12 = 13.8.
Oh, and RE: the header gif:
Left foot braking is probably fine for short trips when you are actively thinking about what you are doing.
Have you ever seen what a typical journalist looks like tho?
Despite what this website would have you believe, very few people use snow tires in the US.
Star from me for any 2 door suv but if you can’t take the top off it just ain’t the same.
Oh man. My condolences.
That’s A LOT to service a Ford. My local place routinely offers packages where you can buy a set of 4-5 oil changes including tire rotation that works out to approx $20 per. No car wash, but the inspection seems pretty thorough because they ALWAYS find something they want to fix. Deals like that seem pretty common at…
Fond memories of a group of us extreme nerds writing a parody of this song called “The Theseus People” as a project during a Greek mythology unit in 10th grade AP English.
The car’s in California, though. This would be an acceptable California car.
I agree, boomers are the problem. Weddings have always been expensive. Now they’re near-ruinously expensive. I’ve never heard of a boomer entering married life with wedding debt. I’ve known many young millennial couples on the other hand saddled with debt for years to satisfy those cultural norms you mention. Surely…
Sure, I liked Roma a lot, but I feel like that was a passion project for Cuaron that still would have gotten made some other way if not for Netflix. The Netflix connection seems to me mostly a marriage of convenience rather than love.
Weddings in general are out of control. Most weddings I hear about from my parents’ generation and older are, like, a ceremony at the church or whatever and a small reception in someone’s back yard with a homemade snacks and hors d’oeuvres. People offer their congratulations, mingle for 15 min or so, then hit the…
Absolutely, but the church and their facilities are 100% dry. So what happens is young couples without a ton of money in the church get married and have their reception there because it’s cheaper, but have to sign a contract agreeing to have a dry wedding and reception.
Well then enjoy your new limousine, Mr. Rockefeller!
And yet ironically you sound like the one who’s no fun at parties.
