I took intro to ethics in college ca. 1999, but obviously that predates Twitter so these sorts of dastardly deeds weren’t covered.

They also announced they’ll be making an electric motorcycle, so there’s that, too.

Everything you say is true, but I just can’t get over the concept of using a dead language phrase to say X, when you can just say X instead.

Roeper is a low-rent Manuel Noriega at best.

Whoops. Hey, would you look at the time? Gotta go!

1. Law. No. 1 and it’s not close. Legal jargon is the emperor of all bad jargon. I don’t know how you lawyers do it. I really don’t. Reading a single paragraph of legal copy makes me want to die. I can’t even imagine what it would be like to have to write any of it

Hahahaha, I don’t even know any more, dude.

Ok smart guy, here’s a question for you. Is it wrong for a news organization to hire an SEO firm to game Google’s search algorithm? After all, SEO techniques make the news org’s articles appear higher in results than they would organically.

Oh my god, dude. It’s more like “he killed someone in a video game, he can kill someone in real life.” I think you and I will just have to agree to disagree. I understand the argument you are making, I’m just not persuaded that this in any way a serious ethical breach.

And yet he managed to overcome his handicap of being corny as hell to lead two network shows that ran for years and a ton of movies. How he can bitch about his politics hurting his career boggles the mind.

Sure, I get that. It’s like Van Halen’s green M&Ms - if the concert promoter can’t get the M&M thing right can they be trusted for safety things like lighting and rigging?

Far out

And that’s M. Night Shyamalan in a nutshell. At the end of the day, even for his good movies (and I like a lot of his movies) the twist is more memorable than the plot.

I suppose you’re right. It just seems like such an inconsequential Mickey Mouse thing for Roeper to get in trouble for.

I’m sure there are some who make a lot of money but I imagine it’s like being a comedian, musician, actor, youtuber, etc. in that there is an extremely small coterie of individuals who make a ton of money and then a very long tail of folks who are just scraping by.

Complaining about speedrunners on the internet. Nobody is better.

This can’t be right, I follow Trum..

I know I’ll get roasted for this but It’s kinda sad to think about the kind of person that is old enough to care about the original Super Mario Bros (a 32 year old game!) and yet still has the combination of no responsibilities and unlimited free time necessary to be involved in the whole speed running thing.

If he knew he was buying fake followers, that’s an ethical red line that he shouldn’t have crossed.
