I would like to bring to your attention to the Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance series, as well as any of the D&D campaign books which take place in BG. It’s a huge city and a big focal point of Forgotten Realms, so there’s definitely lots of liberty to come up with a new story for it, absolutely nothing to worry about

Wargroove. Indie project being developed by some powerhouse talent and wonderful people.

I, too, hope readers will loose after such articles. It's not a bad article, but while I do not agree with the author's assertions it is a good conversation starter — a conversation that is continuing to become more and more relevant in today's industry whether or not you wish to accept it.

So yeah, go to GiantBomb and

Yeah you're right, there. Echoes my thoughts exactly. You can't defend a game on the basis that it fights those tropes when their very inclusion is still a clever means to market to certain demographics.

This is what is often called having one's cake and eating it too.

I usually really like your articles, but I found this to be incredibly offensive on a personal level. Absolutely nothing in his statement can be construed as disingenuous or 'kinda gross'.

Nobody plays them, and games compete for spots to be played at EVO. Simple as that.

I was joking in my earlier post, but I understand the need for good story in fighting games. To recommend a few, Mortal Kombat 9 and Injustice have amazing story modes, you already know about the doujin fighters, Destrega has a pretty good story mode (little known fighter by KOEI on the Playstation), and if you really

Yeah! How dare Capcom trick us into buying a Street Fighter 4 upgrade that only adds a few things and builds on existing materials and art assets!
...
Street Fighter II' Champion Edition will hear of this!

I've played all of Kojima's work, and I'd have to agree. People can have their own tastes and make me a nice bullet point list as to why they don't think he's that great, but I'd like to invoke the "Seinfeld isn't Funny" trope in regards to just how much of an effect his style has had on the industry.

The man works

Can you recognize this character?

Wow, calm down. He said the feeling of the scenes were comparable, not that they were better.

And the last fight in 4 wasn't even a challenge, are you kidding me? It was a gimme fight solely for the purpose of cinematic flair and presentation.

Mortal Kombat was really the first one to get blown up in the media about its gratutious violence...

...in the '90s. Don't worry, it will be fine. Let's let artists be artists, creators be creators, and gore be gorified.

I will concede to your point if you can answer a question for me.

What good is all of this tech if you're not going to do anything with it?

Let's have some real talk. Everything beyond Mortal Kombat 4 was crap. Nobody's gonna come up here and defend those games as well balanced or well designed in the same vein 1-4 and MK9 were. The designs and the aesthetics are all over the top and cheesy. I get that. But MK9 was absolutely fantastic, and I couldn't be

Apples and oranges, man. The innate mechanics of the game and the combinations of team configurations ensures that it stays fun to watch. Basketball hasn't changed in a long time, and people still burn couches over it.

I was laughing and hoping someone else would notice this, too.

"OUTRAGEOUS! How dare you compare a sickening display of underage, prepubescent children to the aesthetic TREASURE of young love in a deeply sexually inhibited society! It's ART, you uncultured SWINE."

Aonuma: I hadn't actually thought that because there was only one item per dungeon that puzzle-solving was made simpler because of that, and that in contrast multiple-item puzzle-solving was more complicated, so I guess I'll keep that in mind.

Seems more viable for use in net cafes. Lord knows when I had to spend the night in one to catch a morning Shinkansen, the booths were basically like this...

You really get it. This is my problem with her. I understand her intentions are probably good, but there are so many stretched arguments that cherry pick or otherwise erroneously try to make her claims that it's difficult for me to endorse her. Closing her comments and preventing feedback (regardless of the reason)
