I would think this would translate even better to movie cars, where you can now have rare/expensive/completely-fictional cars without destroying the original. Many times a movie car is a bit of a fiction anyway, so why not make it even more flexible.

I miss RPGs with prerendered backgrounds. Backgrounds really set the mood and atmosphere, and too many games nowadays just opt for bland, overly generic, open 3D backgrounds. Case in point, something like Tales of Zestiria. It had a few nice sections, but most were copy paste, reused assets all over, and no real sense

You hit the nail on the head with the “lifestyle childhood” bullshit that goes on. I really had to swim against the tide in order not to get caught up in it when my kids were little. Obviously when the kids are tiny and constantly trying to kill themselves, it’s hard to relax and have free time because you do have to

that moment when fans make anime better than the studios that actually make anime.

Fate of Atlantis was a masterclass in game design all across the board. One of the most enjoyable games I’ve ever played. And as a long time hardcore Indy fan, it really captures that whimsical 30’s Pulp Adventure spirit that is key to all of the best Indy media.

Technically impressive yes, but I can't help but think, "What's the point?" These are all copies of photos that look exactly like the original photos. Where's the artistic license? Where's the creativity? Where's the thing that stops and makes me say, "Hey, that's pretty cool?" What is the point of spending hours
