They already did this with the debit card fee reduction that happened in October of 2011. Prices should have went down some, but instead in a lot of stores the prices went UP, yielding an even larger profit of margin on each sale.

Didn't I just read an article about intermittent fasting on io9, which is a huge proponent of skipping breakfast to increase insulin sensitity?

Yes. Did you not read anything?

Also, a potential factor is that a lot of us buy phones on contracts. For me, the Motorola Droid was my foot-in-the-door Android.

If that's what feels right to you, go for it. But I do have some questions.

You should be paying a "debit" discount thanks to the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. But you're not. Blame retailers for charging you the same for your debit transactions though their cost dropped.

Okay, so the Durbin Amendment made it "cheaper" for retailers to accept debit cards (by up to 50%!) and that should have "passed savings" to consumers. Yet we never saw a price decrease thanks to it, though we were supposed to.

10 seconds seems to be the magic number.. ya'know, from dial-up days.

Weather is hard to predict, but I've tested Dark Sky's data and I've been impressed with it. Told me it was going to rain in three minutes and sure enough, it was accurate. Then again, I don't use it all the time so that could be an anomaly.

Cloudy Sky uses Dark Sky's API. Look it up. It isn't nearly as pretty (and the developer makes sure to point that it's just data) but it works well.

Well, I use a significant amount of external HDDs in enclosures, so that doesn't bother me too much. But I can see how some users would freak out. Less pr0n space = panic.

Well, if it doesn't finally offer more customization in color schemes outside of black, blue, or silver, I'm not buying it.

Insects I have no problem with. Send them to hell, I say.

Sorry, mine doesn't crash.

Or take a photo with another camera. Ya'know, for the "bright" people in the audience trying to play the "at home game" of I'm So Smart.

Indeed! Do you think it was cached?

Not by default, no. But you can make it do it.

For everyone arguing with you about buttons, with Android I can easily get rid of them all and use swipe gestures. Or I can add more buttons, if I like.

I don't remember this...? /starts googling

I'm jelly of that backyard. Mine is covered in snow/ice.
