My Asus G1 is still running with a copy of Vista Ultimate and is running remarkably well for an old laptop. Too bad the battery is crap, now. And expensive to replace! That is so annoying.

I wish people were more willing to install updates but alas. People don't do it then Microsoft gets bad press because people using unpatched software have bad things happen.

Thank you for condescension. People who aren't web developers have no say in personal web browsing situations. Cuz' they're stupid with how hard the web site was to design because of IE. And making wrong assumptions about strangers on the internet. Bravo! Keep digging your own hole.

With Windows 8 it will force a user off and update itself by default. It usually gives two days of warning and then an update like an hour before hand.
