For me, I want to know if I'm doing something legitmately wrong or not and if the feeling is irrational, it cannot be easily explained (if at all). Because I so don't want to be in the wrong, if I can avoid it.

I'm on the receiving end of such behavior. It can be terribly yo-yo'ing emotional wise.. but hey, if you care about someone you learn to deal. :)
