Gold subscription for multiplayer has helped a lot for the servers. I game on both the PS3 and the Xbox and what I get on my Xbox is better, multiplayer wise, than on the free PS3 network. I'm not referring to bonus material. Usually smoother latency. Not saying it superfantastic, but better.
