I hated Gilmore Girls for all the reasons you mentioned but I do like Mrs. Maisel.  I was shocked that I liked it as much as I did.

I never heard about the tape recorder but it doesn’t sound surprising. I remember going to some kind of lunch thing to promote it to potential donors. A group of us were supposed to sing a song and a few of the golden boys shared why they liked it.

Young Life still makes me shudder many years on from high school. As a freshman, I went with a friend who had a huge crush on some guy who was a regular attendee and my parents were like, Oh, hey, we’re Christian, that says it’s Christian, great. Just get your homework done too.

I have a family member who had something similar happen. She received a poor performance review for not having done certain tasks when they were scheduled. However, that would have been impossible since she was in the hospital at that time after giving birth prematurely. It was also a completely unexpected premature

My understanding - based on limited personal experience - is you can request to be seated by your child and if you aren’t they’ll try to move things around so you are but there are no guarantees because they can’t force someone else to move. I fly with my daughter a few times a year - we buy seats together and they

From just this post I’m reading that you have a good amount of experience which I’ve seen play out as one of the most valuable things in applying for first jobs after receiving the MLIS. It is also specific experience - one of my first thoughts was if you are applying for something that uses your areas of experience

What kind of library are you interested in getting into? I got my MLIS over 15 years ago and after a move fell into a really niche position that’s an off shoot of my other grad degree so I’m not a current job search information goddess but I’ve been on a fair number of hiring committees for academic librarians and one

Our cat was quite old so it wasn’t unexpected but I think we’d started to believe our myth she’d live forever. I wanted to stay with the cat but my daughter wanted to say good-bye but leave before the shots. My husband had raised the cat from a kitten so we decided I should be the one to go out with our daughter and

Thanks for explaining.

I’m sorry about your cat. We had to do the same thing recently and it is just so hard.

So cute! We had two senior cats that used to sit together just like that all the time. We had to put the 18 year old to sleep about two weeks ago so the 16 year old has been a little lost. She’s started shadowing my kid 24/7 so I think she’s made the kid an honorary cat. :)

It was a total change (in a good way) when I switched - if I take it again I’m asking for extended but I know doctors and bodies are different for everyone so it might not always work. Here’s hoping that or something else works for you!

Are you taking regular or extended release? I had a lot of the side effects you describe when I took it until I switched to the extended release and then it was much more manageable. So if you have regular it might be worth seeing if you can switch.

My intention was not to make it seem like it is not a serious situation so if that’s the way it read then I did not pick the right words. I didn’t mean what I said as a literal listing of every workable option but more my outrage that someone can take that much power and think they can leave the other person with no

Absolutely - this is an important point. The average person is going to have those financial and insurance restrictions so my implication that it is like picking up another roll of paper towels for everyone is incorrect. My insurance is the same way about asthma meds - I can’t remember if it was equally restrictive

I’m also disgusted by the assumption everyone involved takes of well, he threw them out. That’s it and sex without birth control is inevitable. Like she can’t leave him, refuse him, get a refill on the prescription, or whatever. Oh, no, the man threw them out and there’s no other options.

My husband has an insane (colloquially, not clinically) family member and a few other family members that act as enablers/satellites of this insanity.

A big part is Eddie (their CEO) making/getting loans. Probably biding his time until he can cash out at the most advantageous moment for him or re-spin it as something smaller and different (not traditional retail) but actually profitable.

All the good thoughts for your cat and that the fluids can help.

Yeah, there needs to be some sort of unbreakable pact/contract clause on no season 2!
